jQuery 1.x → 3.x, Bootstrap 3 → 5, and the consolidation of UI patterns no one had documented — landed across multiple modules without taking the system offline.

The interesting part of an upgrade like this is not the upgrade. It is the inventory of every implicit pattern the previous version supported by accident.
